215 Washington Avenue

This historic property built in the early 1900s originally served as The Old Territorial Inn, a small hotel located two blocks off of the Santa Fe plaza. Over the years, the building housed a variety of professional offices and underwent a series of unfortunate remodels that stripped it of its original character. Our client hired us to help him convert the property back into an inn - more specifically an “invisible service” boutique hotel. We completely reworked the floor plan to create seven individual rental units, a lobby, and a library. We selected fixtures and finishes that would reflect the historic aesthetic of the building and highlight the original architectural features that remained. In the end, we were able to create warm, welcoming spaces that seamlessly pay homage to the bones of the building while incorporating modern design elements that reflect southwest style in a fresh and approachable way.
