Built Design has had the good fortune of working with the owners of this home on several projects. The owners are a young, growing family of seven with a love of casual entertaining and a playful sense of style. The original Territorial style house was built in the 1950s and underwent a series of additions and remodels over the years. Although the house was large enough to accommodate this family, its awkward layout was inefficient and not conducive to their way of living. We reworked the entire floor plan and added a formal entry, new kitchen, butler’s pantry, mud room, playroom, and bathroom with the ultimate goal of creating playful, cozy spaces that are large enough to fit family and friends and that stand up to the wear and tear that comes with having five children.
